rooter, i had to put that bow off. megan saw me researching making one, and, well i got a REAL ugly look.

but, a traveling turkey is actually in the works - well, in the initial thinking out phase. i'm spending a few days this summer with a master carver/painter named jode hillman. i HOPE to learn alot more about painting during that time. so, right now i'm banging out some carvings and putting off painting too much in hopes to get some real paint knowledge soon. it'll likely be wood though. i have some cool ideas for construction that would allow ease of carrying. i actually drew out a pattern (mini sized) for what i'm thinking not too long ago.

very envious you get to go down to florida every year......i've heard alot of stories about how "mean" those birds are and can't wait to get on them soon.

you ever get bored up there on those birds you have, load that bow of yours up and set the compass in a southerly direction.

And I thought this turkey site had gotten back to exciting and fun, then I saw who started this thread.   You better get to those woods up there quick. I just heard champ on 7 boxes getting ready to go out, when he picked up the Black Hole call. He's going to do a # on your birds Swamp.

Bless us with another one like the one you started off the season a while back. POURING BB'S DOWN THE BARRELL OF THAT MUZZELOADER. I liked that one. :D Been missing your posts friend.

Jake.....me and several local turkey hunters are trying to locate Champ's place of residence to steal your call and get it out of his hands. not only will he kill his limit but he'll probably guide several more dozen and totally clear Sardis of any birds. it's a major wildlife crisis we could be facing...hopefully Uncle Justin will invite him to go and save us his wrath with the Gator Gobbling Box.

No chance Hambone....they are still on you. We have opened war on hogs and our hog cowboys will hunt till the opening bell thus keeping our woods clean of any fowl. I will probably have to devote my time just crappie fishing since y'all have all the turkeys again! Love the article about better half...had to buy the cookbook....

Ah, glad to hear the cowboys are keeping the turkeys on us. I hope they continue the delusion that their hog war is having an effect. I'm glad you liked the story and will pass the compliment to the better half.
