Me and my friend John were able to take a couple of young hunters, Alan and Tyler on a duck hunt Saturday. After a couple of early morning "swims" by Tyler we made it to the blind. Awesome is not a good enough word to describe the morning. The birds were thick after being unmolested for the last two weeks. The boys shot great, and Tyler got his first duck and a few more that morning. Alan made a couple of long shots, especially on his greenhead. My dog Huck enjoyed another morning in the blind as well, he was a happy dog for sure. But at the end of the day I had to laugh, because here were me and John with 60 years of duck hunting between the two of us, and our smiles were as big as the kids. We had as much fun as they did. I want to say thanks to the person that allowed us to take these boys hunting on their place. It was generous to allow two young hunters to go to such an awesome place to hunt.
Thank you! I know we made some good memories for the boys and for us too. Below are a few pictures from the day, I was the official photographer, dog handler and co-caller for the day. In the pictures are John, Alan, Tyler and my dog Huck.
The end of a good day!!!
Smiling faces, even the big kid on the left is smiling LOL
