So far it don't look to good for us here in central Ms.

Lack of cold weather up north is hurting.

How do you guys approach a hunt that you know will probally suck?

I always keep an open mind (sometimes too open)and tend to be disipointed if the ducks don't show.

If I know a hunts going to suck, I try to bring food, drink and plenty of snuff. Make sure you got a good buddy to shot the bull with, also make sure he knows not to blow his call all am. Make the most out of getting there, setting up and picking everything up. NO need to get in a hurry cause the ducks aren't going to get your BP up so don't let some knot head at the boat ramp or some bozo setting up to close to you get your blood a stirring. I'd be mobile but if I were you I pack light and start walking that big ole creek down your way and jump shoot some woodies. Just my opinion, baldduck

I go deer hunting and try to watch where they woodies are coming from. Then I go and get me a couple on the roost that afternoon. [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

I just remember that I don't want to go deer hunting anymore and enjoy the day. I'm just wraping up at the office now, headed to ******* and geting ready for in the morning. It's opening morning for me, I was out of the CONUS last week. Good luck to you guys this weekend!!!

I tell you caney, it sucks not having any ducks but i can live with it, It's good just to be able to get out in the blind or just stand in the water and watch the sun come up. But you can get a little too laid back and let some slip in on ya, and that sucks too. Just try to make the best out of what you got and right now that ain't much for most of us.
