i will be fortunate enough to have a 78 year old WWII vet in the blind tommorrow... only a spectator, he just loves to watch and be there. he built my little pirogue and he wants to see it in action... i'll thank him inbetween all his entertaining stories...

I agree. I watched Pearl Harbor last night and it really got me thinking. We owe the vets alot for the great sacrifices they made.

Well,I retired from the Navy on a special base closure program after fifteen years of service.I was lucky and never had to go to war,even though there were some close calls.I have the deepest respect for any veteran who saw combat and am grateful I got to serve this Great country even if i didn't go to war.So if you bump into a veteran today,just say thank you.
