Got a big red on the farm and give it hell everyday not had a minutes worth of trouble just wished it had a low when the mud gets deep. But. Would not have anything belt driven just got to much H20 to go through

They had the 500 but the 400 and 500 don't differ that much in the HP department. The 500 has a speedodometer, which I see as something else to break. The 400 was 1000 cheaper.

I love mine. It is way better than riding on my big bear. I put a roof rack on it since the bed was smaller. I can put 2dz decoys + guns and a dog box in the back. Blind bags go on the roof rack and 3 people on the bench and just go. I run 4WD and low range in the fields but I have not had any issues to date.

how much water do you take it through? only time i've had a hint of belt slip on rhino is when water got up over the bottom of the seats momentarily and i idled it for a few minutes to dry belt and back on my way.

the old camp was in a bottom and it was constantly driven in water over the floorboards in the duck slough. only thing i've done to rhino is replace wheel bearings (from riding in the muck over floorboards for a few years), a broken axle (my fault, took it out of 4wd too soon and spinning back tire caught a root), replaced rad fan from it running under water too much, and cv boots

Have a Polaris Ranger 4x4 and never had any trouble out of it in 3 years. I just get everything drained after the season and general maintinance and runs like a top.

My 05 Ranger 6x6 has well over 800 hours on it and I have only replaced the belts twice...and it's easy to do.

My buddy has a Rhino and loves it, he uses it for what it is and has been a reliable machine. Took it dove hunting ( 3 of us + dog) me and the 4 legged compadre had to fit in the back..wasn't bad...but the bed got a little hot on my keester and the dog's feet.
The cab is a little tight getting in and out of normally..and I feel it would be harder with waders and heavy coats.

Used a ranger at work some this summer in Kansas, bigger bed and way easier to get in and out of. Didn't seem to have the ground clearance as the rhino but it was also set up to hold several front-end attachments....It was definately set-up more for a work vehicle than general purpose.

I have also heard good things about the new deere gators...

I have a 2004 Ranger and can say nothing but good things about it. It has never been in the shop and I run it pretty hard during hunting season. All I do is drain all of the fluids after the season ends and it keeps on going.

Just bought a new Ranger 800XP. I researched for a long time and the issues that moved me toward the Ranger were.
1) Power - almost 800cc engine
2) Larger - seemed to be far fewer issues with rollover when compared to a Rhino
3) Utility - the Rhino impressed me as being a very sporty machine but would be less practical for work and general purpose use.
4) Room - this was a major issue with me, because I am never Duck hunting alone. I always have a friend or two with me and in many cases will have to carry a lot of stuff and a couple of other folks. The Ranger can accomodate that. The Rhino, not so much.
