SOUTHERN GENTLEMEN & SOUTHERN BELLES

Postby SCHNETZ » Wed Jan 19, 2011 10:58 am

My son and I just returned to Virginia from our third annual duck hunting trip in Mississippi. We didn't kill alot of ya'lls ducks but met some great people again this year. I was born and raised in VA and have always considered Virginians to be very hospitable. But I gotta tell ya'll, you folks from MS take the prize for graciousness and hospitality. It does my Southern heart proud to meet all the fine men and women of your state. Thanks to all of ya'll for your courtesy and friendliness. Especially Clay D. and the guys at the campground who shared the crappie and hushpuppies with us. One of the best meals I've ever had. Clay, if you are member of this forum pm me. You sir are a real campfire gourmet, your turkey call will be on the way soon.

Glad you had a good time, but I hate you didn't get to kill a bunch of birds.

And you can't beat a good mess of crappie...

We appreciate the kind words. Sorry about the poor birds but I'm glad you were treated to some good food. Good southern food is the common denominator to any good time. Come on back when you get a chance. Virginia is a beautiful place as well.
