possible sandhill crane season in tn!!!!!!

Postby goosebruce » Wed Jan 19, 2011 10:07 am

cross posting this. I did call twra and they did say they where taking a poll on calls!

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is accepting comments on a proposed Sandhill Crane hunting season. The usual suspects are opposing this action. I am encouraging everyone I know to call the TWRA and support the proposal. The switchboard operator is taking a simple tally and the opposition is mounting a call in campaign. I would like to encourage all of you to call 615-781-6610 and let them know you support the proposed season. Thanks in advance for your help.
Best to all,
Robert Van Sant

take 30 seconds to call and hopefully give us a chance at something in our part of the world we've never had before. theres a refuge in east tn that winters over 50k of the crazy things. travis

Yea I'd go to Tennessee and shoot a flying dinosaur. We also saw some whooping cranes today and everyone of the 12 or 14 of them has a radio tracking device on it. Talk about keeping up with a population.

It wasn't voted down. They tabled the issue until they could gather more information in regards to the population numbers.
