there's a guy on here, who lives in oxford, he has a post in this forum, and in the general classifieds. jbester or something like that is his username. he has great prices on decoys rigged and weighted. i bought 7 and half dozen from him a couple of months ago. look him up and give him a call. he'll let you pick through and get what you want.

also if you want some GHG check the avery warehouse as soon as duck season closes. they will have decoys rigged and weighted for 5 dollars a piece. i bought a bunch of these last year too.

if'n i were to buy some new ones i would look at the final approach or higdon, they look the best for the price imo

I would wait til the end of the season and try Avery, they are used but just for one season. If you wait till later in the summer they drop the price to $2 a decoy.
Damn, i thought I had that one

Is that buddy of yours tryin to blow that call or make love to it?

I will be cutting against the grain here, but I think that the best bang for your buck long term would be G&H or the Cabelas "Real Image" decoys. They cost more, but I am on almost 20 years with some of my G&H's, and folks on here will tell you I treat my dekes like red headed step children. I have been pretty impressed with the Cabela's durability, although we only have 5 years on those.

Have you bought any G&H's lately? I don't think they are near about as good quality as they used to be. They were the gold standard of decoys forever. I'm not so sure now because I've got some newer ones that have paint issues just like some other decoys.

I just got a dozen fully flocked Mallard drake dekes from Cabelas: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Hunting/ ... type%3DGNU

These things look really good. According to Bud at Higdon, the dekes are painted just like they look under the flocking also. If they get scuffed up during use, the color scheme won't be affected. He also said they are working on a way to produce fully flocked hens as well. Unfortunately when I called Higdon and spoke with Bud, he told me they would not be available again until next season once Cabelas ran out. :( :( :(

I've never used this brand of decoy before and have no idea if they will last as long G&H's used to, but they are foam filled so they could survive being shot.

G and h are some tuff booty decoys paint wise. Don't look the best but they do last. I was at gander mt in hattiesburg and some flambeau deekes were layin around out of the box and I put one of em through a lil paint scrapin test. I honestly could not get the paint to chip off hen nor drake. And they look good. I scraped the hen and drake deekes together as hard as I could and no paint chip. So ill be buyin some
IF YOU POUR IT OUT, THEY WILL COME
