For a free year of hunting I'll make sure whomever is doing that leaves their trucks where they parked them to unload the 4 wheelers.

Come back the next morning after those boys have been in there and viola! You got yourself a truck with tags and all. Had a dozer operator tell me he did that exact thing one time and that's all that would stop it. He knew who was doing it and asked them to stop and they responded by telling him to stop them. So he did and got a Toyota Tacoma for parts out of the deal. The sheriff went right to the boy's house and carried him to the jail. Of course, the way our legal system works now you'd probably be arrested for doing that and they would walk free.
I really like this fella's idea. Put up a game camera set to video on the pit. Then post here!

i will try and answer all opinions. we can't put up gates on the main road because it is a publis road the supervisor won't keep up. as for gates to our trails and other roads off those roads it does no good. they go around them. most of our land is pines or cutover so all gates are easily bypassed. we have thought about that. some of the guys that have caught the spotlighters know them and won't turn them in because they don't want there name on it. we have names and addresses and even have given out tag numbers. its not just our club these same people that are breaking these laws on our club are doing it on the surrounding land that it in a 10-15 mile radius of our land. as for the relationship wit hthe authorities it can't be bad because we do nothing wrong. i mean 65-75 members every year for the whole 6 years i've been in the club and one ticket issued to a member nd maybe one or 2 more but thats it. we go by the rules. my buddy got a ticket for a loaded gun on the road because he had just went to the sand pit to sight his gun in becasue he was missing deer. we called him and told him to get to the head of a trail the deer was coming that way. he did have his clip in but his gun was breached with no bullet in the chamber. (now i know that is still a loaded gun) anyways with that being said he met a warden on the road. he didn't have any brakes on his wheeler and the warden forced him in the ditch where he flipped over to keep from hitting the warden. he wasn't trying to run he just couldn't stop. he took his clip out the warden asked for it and took a bullet from the clip and kept it to say that was the one in the chamber. he caused my buddy to wreck. if that would have been me with my wife on the and he cause me to flip he would have taken me to jail because i wouldn't have beenas nice. they could write all the tickets they want if they would go there at night. the sheriffs can't get down there because it is to rough or maybe they would. i just wish they would put as much effort toward catching others as they do us

holes in the road would be illegal because if someone where to go off in it and get hurt we could be prosecuted. we were told not to do that by the supervisor. i don't want to put any names out there so i won't tell where our club is or its name but the supervisor told us he wasn't going to fix the road because it was his beer drinking road. thats a true story i sware before god he said that. the wardens were after a guy a few years ago becasue he had been spotlighting on some of there land as well. then they found out he was also doing it on our land. they did set up cameras and caught two other people and never set them up again. they could set up a dummy deer and write tickets all week long. especially after a rain when they can mud ride and spotlight.

IF you know who they are and where they live as you say you do, go ride through their yards when they're not home and do donuts in them. Dump the dead deer carcasses they left on your property in their yards, in the backs of their trucks, hoods of their cars etc. Their yards would also be a nice spot for dumping gut buckets too!! Drive by their houses in the middle of the night and place dry ice bombs (do a google search) under their carports, or set them on their front porch (in leiu of actually shooting a gun in front of their houses) Send them an anonymous letter via USPS indicating that when they stop you'll stop. An eye for an eye as they say.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

If your supervisior won't maintain the road go to the next board of supervisior's meeting and ask them to close the road (give it up). Then when they refuse bring up how they will not keep it maintained and that you expect it to be kept up because it's a county road and that's what you pay taxes (car tag) for.Aside from that if their doing it on 4-wheeler's string some 80lb fireline across the trail's they'll think the hand of God snatched them off when they hit it.

we have been saying its gonna take someone getting hurt to where they can't get an emergency response vehicle down the road before they examine the idea.

Due process of law, look it up. That supervisor has a boss contact him. As for chitty game wardens call the federal boys in there, they love ruining peoples lives. Just make sure yall are all completly legal before you do cause they will catch all yalls mistakes as well. Once again federal game wardens would eat this up!

I got a guaranteed tactic for ya. It worked for our club. Black roofin tacks. At the gates. Write down how many u put down at each spot and pick em back up with a magnet and metal detector. 5 vehicles with flats almost all the way around em stopped our problem. Plus 2 4 wheelers
IF YOU POUR IT OUT, THEY WILL COME

angle iron with 6" spikes welded every 6". We put these out and found 3 - 4 wheelers. No more problems.

I'll bet that my club is in the same county. We have some of the same problems and worse. We also have a bad theft problem. It will take an effort of a group and the money we spend in the county to make a difference. If we as a group of ethical people band together we can make a change. One voice is rarely heard, however 50 voices must be heard. I would be willing to bet that your problem is in Benton county. If so maybe we should try and pool resources and resolve some issues. It will take a group effort and outside the county people to put an end to this.
