AT&T U-Verse

Does anyone have this and, if so, what are your thoughts. We currently have our phone/cable/internet all with Comcast and are looking to change over to AT&T. They are currently running some specials now that end up saving us $$$ even when adding more channels (HBO, Showtime, Cinemax) and upgrading our internet service.

I've reached the point that I've about had it with the customer service folks at Comcast...not that I expect AT&T to be a whole lot better.

I went with Direct TV about 5 years ago and love it...

I switched back in the summer from Direct TV to U-verse and like it. It took some time to get familiar with the channels but it is worth it. I bundle all of my items: cell phone, internet and u-verse and it does save you money.

i have had it about 6 months like so far i was told by to different att techs dont get the phone service home service that is

Weird thing is that, assuming I sign a 1 year contract, the average monthly cost WITH a phone is $155.25 and the average monthly cost WITHOUT a phone is $157.75. This is due to the "bundling" discount for getting all 3 serivces. Of course, if I didn't get the phone, I would probably save a few $$ month in taxes. You have to be careful as seems these companies will try and trick you when you get your first bills with hidden costs, etc.

We briefly had U verse and it sucked worse than any service I have ever had. The picture on the screen would freeze and stay that way sometimes for 5 minutes or more. The guy installing it at my house had wires running through my garage hanging down and not secured to anything. Said they would be providing the MLB network and I never saw it. Said they would have NESN where I could watch Red Sox games and I never saw it. It was definitely cheaper than Direct but you usually get what you pay for. The installers came back 3 times trying to get the picture to quit freezing, they never did and I have Direct again.
