Bad Boy vs Stealth vs Hunt Ve
Bad Boy vs Stealth vs Hunt Ve
Anybody got any of the newer units by either company and could give a suggestion of which is the best and why?
Re: Bad Boy vs Stealth vs Hunt Ve
i have spent a good bit of time in a pretty new HuntVe. I like it alot the only complaint i have is that the front rack (in front of windhield) is a drop basket that hangs partially in front of the lights. The easy fix is to install some spot light type lights that help you out if you have gear in that basket. If you dont have anyhting in it its not a problem. As far as durability and strength, as long as you add water when recommended its a bad dude and i love the quiet electric buggies.
Re: Bad Boy vs Stealth vs Hunt Ve
I have an 08 BBB. I have a love-hate relationship with it. I love hunting on it and how quietly I can get around on it. It has been in the shop three times in the first year I had it. Broken axle which is a fairly common problem.
My camp is in the hills and I am fairly rough on my stuff if I am being completely honest....good luck.

If you are hunting in delta gumbo the answer is simple...............which one will spin a tire best.
If it won't rev and spin alligator buggers off the tires you might just want to leave it on the trailer. My 2

That is true. BBB will spin the crap out of its tires....but your battery life will go to pot.

New Stealth 64 volt. Bad to the bone . Made it all through what Belzoni could give it.

I have an 07 BBB. It has the 2 18 hp motors. It is very strong and arguably the strongest electric cart made. In the mud I go slow to keep tires from spinning which prolongs battery life to regular use. however I had some electrical problems at first and the company was NO help. they have the worst customer service ever IMO. Been there-Done that
Got the tee shirt-Got the hat
Besides the fact that it costs over $800 bucks to replace a set of batteries, they are heavy, and rut up my roads worse than a 4x4 truck, they get stuck easily, they will strand you in the middle of no-where, and electrical system, plus water don't mix.
I will never ever own another hunting vehicle of ANY type that runs on batteries.

Re: Bad Boy vs Stealth vs Hunt Ve
you need torque, get the 64 volt stealth... You need easy going easy terrain electric vehicle, go with the electric ranger! The stealth will scare you if you floor the pedal... it will flip completely backwards!

Re: Bad Boy vs Stealth vs Hunt Ve
We had a sales guy trying to sell one to us. I have invited him to go on a hunt with us and if it carries the load to the pit and back, I would like to see it. He says it will but I havent seen it yet. It may be good for the deer turkey hunting but I am just not seeing it in the rice. Guess it just depends on the terrain but it just wouldn't suit my needs.

BBB was bought out by a major Golf Cart company I think it was Club Car but I cant swear on that. So all warrenty work will be done by the dealer. I bought mine from Ben Nelson and they have always done me right on any work that had to be done. I use mine in the hills and it works great for my application. Its all about where your gonna use it.
Re: Bad Boy vs Stealth vs Hunt Ve
I bought the 64 v stealth about 6 weeks ago. I previously owned a polaris ranger. The new 64 v stealth will run circles around ANY BBB. The torque is unreal, it will lift the front tires off of the ground. It is supposed to have a 25 mile range. I've run mine all day and never had any problems with it running out of juice. It has suprised me with its pulling power up a very steep, sandy hill at our camp. I have also had it in some soupy mud and it did just fine. I feel pretty confident it will handle gumbo type mud pretty well. All in all it has been a good machine.
some things to consider though..
-the flip down back seat/platform is very high off of the ground....loading a large deer is going to take more than one person
-although it has disc brakes, they dont perform nearly as well as i thought they would
-it takes about 6 hrs to fully charge
-i shiver thinking about having to replace the batteries....there are 8 of them and they are EXPEEEENNNSIIIIVE!!!!
-the retail price for the loaded out version of this thing is an embarrassment. You can buy ANY other gas powered UTV made with all the bells and whistles and still have enough money for a coulple of new guns and a cases of your favorite beverages for what this things costs.

Re: Bad Boy vs Stealth vs Hunt Ve
I don't own either, but I have some thoughts.
#1 with any setup where multiple batteries are involved, you never want to replace one or the other. The other will draw the life out of the new one quicker than if all are replaced. That being said, the best scenario is change them all at once.
#2 is distance related. batteries overtime wear out which is equal to their capacity wearing out. so 25 miles for example when new might only be 18 miles 1-2 years down the road. Unless the batteries are changed often, your mileage will vary from charge to charge. these numbers are just to give an example and will vary.

been on all of em and the one thing is for sure IMO.....
they are all exactly the same as far as power, ride, longevity.....because they are all supped up golf carts
have had every model of bad boy and they are exactly the same with different looks, but they still are the single best invention to turkey hunting ever.
