PS3. You get a built-in blu-ray player and you can get the add-ons to play games like the Wii.

x10, Xbox 360 with Kinect is the way to go. Kinect is the same thing as the wii but without remotes (way cooler), it picks up all your motions like the wii does. It plays DVD's just like the PS3. It will work for when they are young and grow up, Xbox 360 easily has 2x the games that PS3 and Wii combined do. Most all the Wii games are young kid oriented but the 360 has tons for young and older kids. It also has a wireless network built in so you can watch movies, download stuff, play on Xbox live, etc. The 360 w/Kinect is like the best of all the video game systems combined in one.


My 11year old brother is getting the 360 w/Kinect for christmas, all the cool kids are doing it . He has a wii too but the funness of the Wii wears off after a while and it just ends up sitting.
