Im am about to invest in some new duck decoys (floaters). I am looking for some input on the best brand of full size decoys. Most durable, colorful, warrantied, ext. Any help will save me money in the long run. Thank you.

I've had flambeau, greenhead gear, carrylites and G&H decoys and the G&Hs are the best by far. They are made in Oklahoma (Henryetta) and they come with a lifetime paint warranty. I bought the magnums with the swivel heads and haven't had any problems with them.

There's a lot of decoys on the market - but if you look at 90% of them, they've only been around for less than 10 years. Lotta what gets sold these days is the product of clever marketing and advertising. Cheap isn't good - and good isn't cheap.

I've used G&H since my last Victor pintail deek split wide open back in the late 60's. There's not another decoy on the market that I would take a chance on trying - I know what to expect from G&H products and customer service. I also know what to expect from others I've tried.

I haven't tried Higdon duck decoys because the G&H's have held-up so well - but we just got-in some new Higdon honker shells today, for Saskatchewan 2011.......they just keep getting better and better. Ho, Ho, Ho......Merry Christmas to us! If Hidgon duck flaoters are anything like their honker shells, they oughta be good stuff - but I haven't tried any.

I'm not a pro-staffer......and I don't stand to gain anything from offering comments about G&H, Higdon, or any of the products we believe in. But when something works - I don't mind telling folks about it. There's enough bad products out there, that when you find a good one, it's 'special'.

The closer it gets to 'perfect' - that's a product I want. We've used these enough to know - G&H is hard to beat as being the most versatile floater decoy for all types of hunting conditions.

We have been adding the Higdon foam filled decoys to our spread for the last few years. Out of the 7-8 dozen decoys that have been purchased 3 decoys had imperfections. Those 3 decoys are still huntable and only have very small cosmetic blemishes. I called Higdon and let them know about the decoys and they sent me out 3 new decoys with no other questions asked. That's great customer service in my book and I'll continue to give them my business as long as they can keep it up.
