Sorry if I put you in a "pickle" on this one Wingman! I was just trying to help this guy!
That being said, we "duck hunters" need some kind of clarification on this topic obviously!!!! We are trying to be legal and ethical, and yet we can't seem to get straight answers on what is legal and ethical. Not trying to be difficult, but there obviously needs to be better clarification of this particular situation. It seems there was a lot of this in the Delta this year, and a lot of guys are still "lost" on the clarification of these rules. No one please take what i have posted as being rude or disrespectful toward anyone, I would just like to see better clarification of some of the rules/regulations that could cost me thousands of dollars/jail time/lost hunting privaleges is all.

When I worked for LSU one of my student workers duck hunted close to alexandria and when the hurricane came through and knocked down about 1500 acres of corn and beans the feds locked down a 3 mile radius around their farm. And just for the record this farm was known for the ducks and deer. They were not allowed to hunt it until the feds came back the next harvest season to inspect the property. No win situation!

Not being a jerk, either, but why the refusal to assess whether or not a property is okay to hunt? I can understand why you couldn't and wouldn't address an unseen place based on an internet description, but what about on-site?

Exactly how is someone supposed to "know" what is going on another individual's property? I have no idea what the farmer next to our property is doing or has done and I'm sure not going to trespass onto his property to verify I'm legal.

To me it's all hearsay. I believe any judge would follow this logic unless they can determine you have factual evidence that you should have known otherwise (i.e. don't push your luck, keep your mouth shut and act stupid if approached).
