i liked it best when you could hunt the fields all day...way before the draw system. it seemed like the worst crowds were there in the morning and had been camped out at their spot since shortly after midnight. most of them were getting groggy about 9:00 or 10:00 and taking it back to the house. i remember having the whole back side of the levy to myself in the evening on more than one occassion.

it would be nice if they would allow afternoon/evening hunting on the fields during the week.

Yes, those were the good times. I had many great afternoon hunts in those back fields. Seemed like the ducks left the sanctuary at 3 every day and went to the fields you could hunt.
