Christmas shopping help

Postby fireplug » Wed Nov 17, 2010 9:33 am

Ok, I've got another one for the masses. My wife wants one of these famous Nort Face fleece jackets. ( I don't understand this fad)
I've been looking around my area and I'm not give $200 for one. Cheapest I've found for the style she
wants is $159 in Cabelas. They are $200 in Oxford. North Ms guys, where is the best place to get one
on line or in a store. HELP! It's the Denali style with long cut fleece.

Plug,

Try Sierra Trading Post. They may not have North Face brand, but they will have something that works. If you look hard to can get at about half price.

Denali is tough to find on sale. I bought the wife a different style off backcountry.com, if your wife is small enough she might be able to wear a childrens xl and that will cut the price in half

If she's small enough you can get her a kids xl and save a bunch of $$$. That is what I get for my wife. Check out Dick's sporting goods and http://www.backcountry.com/

Don't get the fad, but "fleece" jackets are NICE man. Someone got me one about 6 years ago and you can wear it comfortably in anything from around 28 - 65. They cut the wind, they're light, tough, and they'll keep you warm in much colder temps if you wear thermals.

The kids sizes are a good idea, but my wife couldn't wear the kids' xl due to arm length. If she is very tall at all the kids' sizes won't work.

Alot of my clothing is high quality hunting and camping brands. I buy them because they dont tear up and last forever and have a great customer service department. She is wanting the Denali jacket. Great Jacket. There are a few that NF makes that looks like the Denali, but is a little thinner. I know you dont want to spend the money, but they are worth it. I buy alot of NF Patagonia stuff because I have a philosiphy that I buy stuff once and be done with it.

With my wife it isn't about it lasting a long time, it's about that little stitching on the front and back shoulders. She would never
addmit that, but I'm not a dummy. I'm not sure if she can fit the kids sizes, but I'm going to make her try one on to see.
She wants a womans large so I'm not sure if the kids will work. Backcountry.com has the discontinued colors for $99, but they only have
one discontinued color, and of course it's not the color she wants. Looks like I'm going to be taking on extra work this Christmas.

a few different denali jackets and colors, but not a bad price on some at 115.00 but the one she wants is probably the 165.00 one.

If she is an adult large kids xl will not work. She wouuld have to be a adult small and short for it to fit.

Get on SteepandCheap.com....they come on there a lot. Most of the time when you click on one it'll take you to the Backcountry website. They sell the colors that are discontinued most of the time on there for $99. Look in the box along the lower right repeatedly throughout the day and you'll see some on there. If I can find them i'll send you the link.

I have bought several things from o2gearshop.com and have always gotten great deals (especially on last year's models.) Sometimes the product doesn't always ship when they say it will and it has taken a couple of weeks to get some things from them, so don't wait until the last minute.
