Surely the longer a man duck hunts the wealthier he becomes in experience,in reminiscence,in love of nature,if he goes out with the harvest of a quiet eye, free from the plague of himself

Re: opening week traditions
Go deer hunting and wait patiently for the ducks to get here.

Re: opening week traditions
This year will be a bit different....
1) pack everything (camo, 2 pair waders, too many decoys, 2-4 guns just in case two fail
, etc)
2) visit the adult beverage store (purchase required)
3) Load some firewood on the trailer
4) Grocery store for steaks and baked potato
5) Leave for camp
6) Arrivce at camp, start grill, marinate steaks
7) Start up fire pit
sit down by fire pit and enjoy a few cold adult beverages while wondering how bad I pissed the family off for doing 1-7 on thanksgiving day.

Dr B. We may have an opening coming up in our AR camp. We have a big Demopolis crowd. I am drwawing a blank on the duck call maker down there, David Gaston I think is his name. One of the farms we have lease is in Clarendon the rest are around Lake Villarge, Ar City and McGhee. He hunts with us occasionally. I think you might be a good addition given it's a long way to drive. Most of us hunt only 5-10 times as year. . PM me sometimes and I'll give you the details if your interested. Most of the guys ar older 45-50ish. Good crowd to be around even with kids. Very light pressure considering we usuallly have 10-14k acres between the 10 of us.. I am trying to get one of my employees to join who is Selma born and bred bu he ain't a Ninja. They only real disagreements we have happen in football season around AL, Ole Miss or AR. I hate them all and pull for USM.

Re: opening week traditions
Opening week, go run the boat, check the decoys, check the river levels and tides. Our usuall opening hunt is a timber hunt that morning with my sons, nephew and brother-in-law.
