Opening Day In La. This Weekend

Postby laduck » Thu Nov 11, 2010 12:11 pm

Well, less than 48 hours an another season will start. This will make my 53 opening day. I still love it just like the other 52. We get older, but some things just stay the same. :D :D :D Jack

Can't wait but not looking forward to the fog. I hope the weather man is right and there is some breeze blowing Saturday morning!

we start the 20th and I don't have any youths yet to take this weekend which is our youth weekend.

The river is at 3.6 ft so we should have a good season this year with the basin being at a normal water level. Will keep the ducks concentrated and not all spread out like last year when the river never got below 14 ft during the winter.

What kind of sorry s.o.b. would schedule a wedding for the opening weekend of duck season? I'd send him a $5 bill and your lawyers card for when he needs the divorce.

Went to the lease yesterday across the river from Natchez and brusehed up. I didn't have any ducks in my pond, but saw a few feathers were they had been there. But rode around and my padnah's pond about a mile away had at least 4,000 ducks. Mallards, pintail, grey, spoonies........blood was pumpin

what blgros, you won't be at your lease. Sweet I got a couple guys I wanted to space out, I'll drop them over there.

There was zero, zero, zero water in reggio/delacroix marshes last weekend. Scares me a little for the opener.

Well we got stumped for the opener. Lots of fog and poor shooting did it for us. We ended up with one greenhead and two teal. Didnt get a chance to go this morning but everyone i talked to had a better day than yesterday.
