Re: Hoyt Carbon Element v. Matthews Z7
I'm a hoyt guy myself and I shot the Z7 and the carbon element and crx32 (Hoyt) last week and I would pick the CRX2 over the Z7

It's all about what a particular person likes and wants out of a bow. I haven't had the chance to get my hands on a new hoyt, but I did have a Maxxis 31. I sold the 31 and got a Z7. I will never turn back. I love my Z7 and shoot it much better than the hoyt. I have had 5 top of the line Hoyt bows in the last 5 years and now this Mathews. Hoyt is a great bow, I just prefer the Z7. Different strokes for different folks. Just some advice-- shoot all the bows first and then make your own opinion of the pros and cons. The way someone else perceives a particular bow might not be the way you would.

Re: Hoyt Carbon Element v. Matthews Z7
i've heard of people that shoot the Z7 changing over to the carbon matrix after they shoot it. They say it is one sweetest shooting forgiving rigs. I will stick with my Z7. I'm in love with it. Killed 4 deer to date from 20-63 yards with no complaints.
Re: Hoyt Carbon Element v. Matthews Z7
I have never been a Mathews man myself. I don't know why I didn't like Mathews but I never have. I have always shot a bowtech since them came out. But the new Z7 changed my mind about Mathews and thats what I am shooting this year and I will say this it is by far the best shooting bow I have ever (Keyword I) shot. I have not shot the new hoyt yet. And I am not going too because if it shoots better than the Z7 i couldn't afford it. Just my personal input. Make sure you shoot the bows you are looking at and don't get it because everybody on tv has or all your friends. If you like it then get it. If the Z7 was made by Crap inc I'd still own one. I go by how they shoot not whats on the limb.
