Starkville area rut ?

Postby CL » Wed Nov 03, 2010 8:00 pm

For all Starkville area deer hunters--

When does the rut typically peak in this area of the state. I know an exact date is not possible to give but based on your past experiences please advise me approximately. Thanks in advance.

Casie, seems like I remember them cutting up pretty good the week after Christmas and into the 1st week of January.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Christmas through the first week of January is usually the hottest around my area. We're close to Brooksville though.

not a starkville guy, but here's what the experts say:

position your cursor near your area. the date shown is the simulated mean conception. to estimate peak rut, subtract 2 weeks.
happy hunting
