It almost happend this year, but the guys accountant said it was propbably a bad idea with the downturn in the economy and the fact that MS's bow season got shorted the best two weeks for a "doe only" "primative weapon" season :? .....he backed out....but it has been talked about. Bills is the largest Gold Tip dealer in the nation....but he's still a dikhead and I wouldnt let him work on a dart gun. I refuse to go in there.

you could buy him out and put his store in Flowood where it would be centrally located for the metro area. Hire some good people and make a freaking killing. Stick to the simple bow and deer hunting gear with an emphasis on great customer service.

Does anyone use Emerson's Archery?

Jerry Emerson is a good dude...a little odd...but a good dude. Been around for years and sold the first Mathews in the state before Bill got his hands on the exclusive sales in the metro. He knows his bows.

Jerry a good guy, certainly knows what he's doing.
Funny story about Jerry:
He and his wife , who has asthma, were at his camp in Lexington when his wife had an asthma attack, she had left her medicine at home.........got his wife in the car and is flying down I-55 when he is pulled over by MHP....officer walks to car and asked Jerry why in the world is he driving down I-55 at 115 mph......Jerry tells him, in that squeaky voice" because that's as fast as this SOB will go". Officer helped him get home ASAP.

Thats funny, i went in there last week, and they did not have any 5575 gold tip arrows for sale.

I walked in the other day, and asked him a question about a product that he didn't have any of and the hand working there said that that product was crap and he only sold "X." I looked around about 1/2 second longer and left, and will never go back in.

What a joke of an operation he's got going down there...

Bill is all about money, if you aint spending you aint SH@T to him, and best believe he only sales what he thinks works and thats the bottom line. Im waiting for the day someone wises up and has the funds to put him under!

bill sucks at life, much less archery... He called and cried to matthews about jerry cutting prices on matthews until they pulled his supply. But word on the street is there might be a whole new bow place in the works with some good ole boys from surrounding area. I personally hope to see bill flat on his booty with hat in hand, by far the biggest crook in the bow bis.

He's been like that for years and years though, even when there was more competition. I doubt that place will ever change.

If Bill's was the only place to buy archery supplies and equipment....I would quit bow hunting all together. Unreal that the buisness survives.

In a moment of weakness I was in bills and was going to buy a qad ultra rest and have it put on
and the bow expert bill had working told me that was impossible to put that rest on a Hoyt
bow and that the only rest that will work on a Hoyt is a whisker buiscut

so I took my bow to Jerry Emerson and I wish I would have had a tape recorder because his response was priceless
I might lose a job or a woman, but i will never lose hunting.
