OT - natural stone countertop dealer

Postby teul2 » Mon Oct 18, 2010 3:40 pm

Well kinda on topic for me cause I aint gona get to hunt till it gets done. But anyway....

I am in the short rows of a master bath remodel, and now need to find the last few pieces of the puzzle.
We need to find a counter top for a double vanity. We are looking for a natural stone, but have not picked "the one" yet.

Need to find a stone yard in either Jackson or Memphis (or somewhere in between) that might have a selection of remnants for sale.
Anyone know of a good stone place that might have some remnants for sale?

BJ's Tile in Flowood/Brandon (it's on the East end of Lakeland Dr. near the Pelahatchie Exit) has a lot of really nice granite remnants usually.

Christy Cut Stone in Memphis. Check the spelling on that, though.

Favara was the one i was thinking of. he has a big sale once a year, but i'd have to ask my Maw'n'law when it is, she usually goes and gets some for her latest project from there

Joel - Call me or email me if you still need some help. I can give you a list of vendors we typically work with around here.

My wife just went on that trek yesterday and ended up all around Memphis. The problem is when you go to the granite places.....they usually sell the granite and only to the fabricators/installers that can cut it and polish it. So, you then have to go find an installer. If you are not wanting a big piece you might could find an installer that has as piece left over from a job. Otherwise you'll have to pay the price to get it and have it cut/polished and installed. I can get you the names and numbers to all the places that we've talked to if you can't find any around here.......we are buying some slabs....if it's the right color I may have some left over on my house in the next few weeks.

Favara has one slab that is a decent color, but the only other thing there I liked was over $200 / sqft.

So, send me what you got, pms are fine.

Thanks guys.

Go see Troy Burnette at The Stone Source off Hwy 25 in Brandon. He's got what you need. Or call him tomorrow if you are in Greenwood and dont want to make a whole trip to Jackson, 601-624-8552
