Sako L61R 7MM

Looking for advice for wife's cousin.
Anyone know anything about this model?

Three locking lugs: Two in front and one on the rear end of the bolt. Early 60's model.

Sakos are good guns, especially the older vintages like the one in question.

What advice are you seeking?

he's looking @ buying one for an elk hunt next month & just trying to find out if it's a good weapon.

I haven't ever heard a bad thing about Sako.. Think Tikka on steroids.

I've got two of them, never had a complaint. Both shoot great. One is a 243 the other a 7 mag. The 243 is very accurate and not very particular about the ammo.
