wow..... sounds like you guys had a couple good hunts there... hell i didn't get to go sat because of the rain... then sat night around midnight. i got a call and had to run back to jackson to the hospitol... false alarm.... expecting june 28.... no hunt sat or sund..... :-(

Any of you guys read the turkey hunting article in the Clarion Ledger this weekend? I feel like the old guy who finally learned how to kill the turkeys...

nice bird !!!! nothing for me this weekend... went sat and heard one bird gobble one time.. didn't go sunday :-(

littlesmack......... where did you kill that bird.... i think that may be "the" best bird i've heard killed this year..... hopefully you entered it into the primos turkey contest...... nice one.... you got a pic ?

Maybe Frogs should have had wing's then we would at least have something to shoot at!!!!!

My cousin entered his turkey in Primos contest yesterday it weighed 18 lbs had 9" and a 10" beard with 1 1/2" hooks.


Here is a picture of the 2 I killed in Kansas on Friday.
# 1 Had a 8" beard and 1" spurs # 2 had a 3" beard and 1 1/8" spurs.

Beast Hunter I killed that bird in Rankin County off of my dad's land he leased for 5 years. He said during the last part of hunting season he said he saw 20 turkeys and 12 of them were gobblers. All of their bierds were draging the ground he said. That is the only one that has been killed out there for now.
