Rossi Youth gun ???

couple years ago i bought a Rossi 410/22lr combo.... can i get a 223 or 243 barrel for it??

no. i called to get 243 barrel for my combo, and they said they would not sell barrels and they were fitted to the individual gun. i guess i will just buy another combo.

That's what I figured after reading on web site.

Now I am trying decide on a 223 or 243 single or with 20ga combo. How ever I still have my old 1100 youth 20ga she could shoot with slugs.

It be great if she got her first with same one I got my first with!

I went with a TC Contender. You can find a used frame and stock for a great price. Then I added a 16" barrel and for 30 bucks bought inserts that will shoot 22lr and 22 Mags. So my son can start shooting 22lr, then go to 22mags, then to 223 we hunt deer. A little later I will upgrade him to a 30/30 barrell. I have the .22, 243, 20 ga. combo. The 243 breach breaks open after every shot. I don't like it one bit. The 243 barrel has been retired. I would consider a Remington 700 youth in a 7-08 or 243. When they outgrow it, you can drop the rig in an adult stock.

The 3 barrel set up you referring to is called the Rossi "Trifecta" New for this year is available in a youth version in .22LR, 20 ga, and .223. In the past the only youth version was the .22, 20, and .243. Both are available now in either the youth or adult models. One of my best sellers, especially around Christmas. As far as the "true" youth gun, not many people still making one. The remington 700 youth is not nearly as short L.O.P. as it was. Most everything has gone to "intermediate" L.O.P.'s which is usually to long for most kids.
