As I said before, no guides are available, but anyone may put in from public landings on McIntyre Lake or in the Scatters itself and with just a little luck, be as successful as we are year after year.
Very interesting. Note there was no mention in the article of posted signs, Malmaison WMA, restrictions on entry times and numbers of shells, etc. Why, one might just get the impression that the true history of the McIntyre Scatters is one of wide-open, free lance, PUBLIC WATERS, where "anyone" may put in from public boat landings" and enjoy a little duck hunting". What happened?

Even then, duck hunters were complaining about hunting pressure. I guess some things never change.
