All pause for a moment of Silence...

I'll be hunting tomorrow without my Golden Retriever "Beau" who passed away this afternoon. At 13, he wasn't much of a hunting dog anymore, but he sure will be missed.

I sure am sorry to hear about the loss of your buddy. I am a sad lab owner. Because of where I live I have to keep him pinned up. Small lot on a very busy road. Every time I go to see him or feed him it just breaks my heart that he is in that pin and yet acts like he loves me more than life it self. I guess what I'm saying is that in some small way I know how you must feel. Sorry for your loss.

My girl is 9 now. We have no children, so she is my child and my hunting buddy. It will be a sad day at our house when something happenes to her. My heart goes out to you and your family. Dogs are part of our life and we are better because of them. Jack

Sorry to hear about your buddy.I had a black lab 2 years ago that got hit by a truck on the road and died before I found him.He was two years old and the very best friend I think I ever had.I got him when he was nine weeks old and trained him myself. It was hard around here for a while for wife and kids as well as for me.I still miss him so much this time of year.I have a puppy now four months old who is fast becoming just like him, only he's solid white.I know ur pain, just keep all your memories of him close to your heart and remember all the good hunts.

Sorry to hear of your loss...I sat in the blind this am, looking at my ole, boy of 9 watching into the fog...waiting on anything to drop in ( and it didn't)....I wonder to myself how much longer he is going to tough the mud and water out,....but I think he would die doing it if for a rub on the head and a "ata boy !"

Sorry about your dog. I had to put mine to sleep the day before Thanksgiving this year. He wasn't a huntin dog, just a dog, but he was a part of the family. It's hard, that was my first pet. But, it's better that than him suffering anymore from cancer. Sorry again, I know just how you feel.

It's a sad day for sure...best thing about it though, he made an impression that will keep him alive in your heart until your last breath. I lost mine two years ago...not a day goes by that I don't wish that he were still with me. I got a replacement and all I do is compare him with my first. Sad thing for me is that I was responsible for his death. I let him out and thought that he would come back....heard the brakes lock up when he got hit and found him with my 4 and 7 year old daughters....they still miss him too. God bless him...and you.
