Contact your local NWTF chairman. If that falls through, let me know and I can get you other contact information.
I love to watch the ducks circle and the dogs work.

That guy at Catchadream will NOT return your calls or e-mails. Don't fool with him as he's only into getting himself on TV.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

Brother that is just wrong.......Dr Brunson is one of the nicest and most honest people to ever walk the face of the earth........they do big things for kids HUGE. If you will read their web site about offering hunts they tend to stay with large outfitters because they can supply everything9hunt room and board, medical) for the children that they do things for.......sorry you didnt get resonded to....but saying the organization is just into TV was a little bit off in my opinion
Life's too damned complicated to make it too damned complicated
Re: Wheeling Sportsman / handicapped hunters
That is the impression I got after repeated attempts to contact HIM, not "them", as well as other members repeated attempts to contact him, coupled with a few people from the area down there that saying that he had gotten "big time" now and didn't have time for small time people like us. Somewhere in the middle between your statement about him being nice and honest etc and their statements to me is probably the truth. What you're saying about the org only going with big outfitters probably holds some truth too because of it being "all inclusive". Either way it goes, several of us tried repeatedly to get in touch with him a few years ago and not a single one of us ever got a return call or e-mail. Water under the bridge now, but as far as the original topic goes, Jim and their camp would be better served going with a different organization (NWTF or A Hunt Above) for the reasons brought out by you.

I think B&J does some of that. Try asking J. Autry at Casco about it. He may have some info on it.

DD,
I'm a Host for Catch A Dream. I'm leaving on a hunt in a few weeks with a kid. I've stayed in everything from a trailer to a 5 star lodge. It really doesn't matter. If your trying to get a hold of Dr. Brunson right now it's gonna be hard. We have something close to 29 hunts going on with terminally ill kids right now. Sept. - Nov. is tuff. He may be on a hunt as we speak, as he does go on several hunts as Host himself.
The TV deal is done by Drury OD and others, not CAD. just saying.
CAD only deals with terminally ill kids.
That being said I really don't think it matters who you call, You can do it yourself. Just make a difference in a kids life.
When a dad calls you at 7:30 in the morning to tell you there son isn't here anymore and tells you, you have no idea how much the memories mean to them and they will never forget it. It makes it worth it. Make a Difference anyway you can.

NWTF Wheelin Sportsman - contact Joe Wood 601.613.8675 or jwood@nwtf.net
I did it for the first time last year, my club participated. I had an unbelievable time and was tremendously touched while listening to the testimonies from the kids. I recommend everyone doing it... we are so blessed and so fortunate to be able to do what we love with out restriction or handicap.
