Car Wreck/ Memphis PD

Little over 3 weeks a couple of friends and myself headed up to beale street. I offered to just drive and not drink. As we're driving down union toward downtown traffic cop diverts me off union to another road. As i'm coming down the ramp to get on this new road( which i have no idea what road i'm on) some guy pulls across 4 lanes of traffic so i can T-bone him right in the middle of the road.

Cops were polite and courteous that night, the other guy was ticketed for the accident officer gets done with all my information, gives me all my stuff back, tells me the other driver has insurance it was obviously his fault and tells me i'm free to go. here"s the part that pisses me off. I got nothing, although i asked several times he never gave me anything. Three weeks have gine by and i've called nearly every department in the memphis pd.

Here's what i've been told: "unless you can give us the address of where the accident occurred there's nothing i can do". !!!! really!!! my name, driver's license #, ss# are all on this report and you can't pull it up? i go to memphis maybe 3 times a year. I can't remember the name of the street i was on. Anybody got any advise, or just wanna shared experience? I've so tired of my truck being wrecked!

Can you pull it up on Google Maps and try to figure where you may have been diverted to?

you are lucky to get anyone on the phone at memphis pd. i deal with them regularly with my job and it is a hassle. i dread it every time i think about having to deal with them.

What about your insurance agent? Looks like they could help. Im sure they have adjusters that can deal with this kind of problem.

If that doesn't work, I get accident reports from them quite often and will be glad to get it for you. Just give me a shout.

You could file it on your insurance to go ahead and get your truck fixed and then let your insurance company subrogate the claim. Call your agent.
