We are preparing for first trip of the year to the Delta. Are there any ducks to be found?

Hey, Leadshot! I'm sorry, but I've just seen too many "Go to Hell, Out-of-State" comments to let your idiotic statements slide. Did it ever occur to you that some of us with out-of-state addresses might be MS boys born and bred and are not there right now for some very good reasons? I can guarantee you that I have pulled through as much or more of that gumbo mud than you have, son! My Daddy is planted in that MS dirt, boy, and I will be, too, when my time comes. Far as I'm concerned, that gives me pretty good claim to come there and hunt pretty much any time I please! Why don't you remember some pretty good advice, "It's better to keep your mouth shut and have people think you a fool, rather than open it and remove all doubt!" I have never flamed anyone on this forum and I've been here from the beginning. I apologize, Micah, and I'll try not to get my panties in a wad any more, no matter what idiot says what! In reality, I'm mad cause I'm not there to hunt tomorrow and you are, Leadshot! Try to enjoy the blessing you have rather than shooting down someone else. Sorry , everybody. My time of the month, I guess. We all know women suffer from PMS. Menfolk suffer from UMS (ugly mood swings)!

Crow, good post, but instead of UMS I like to call it DSB "DEADLY SPERM BUILDUP"

In addition to what crow said some of us out of state hunters are subsidizing farmers incomes by leasing there fields, not to mention the money spent while there, hotels, meals, casino and it seems no matter how much stuff I bring I have to make a stop at the Mad mallard or Hadad's.

I've heard of some good numbers down in the La delta south of Natchez. I'd bet a large number of the ducks that were here espically the ones in the open water will filter out to the flooded fields. No great surprise to anyone I'm sure. At least we have some good snow and cold weather up north to push em on down.

There are some ducks here. Unfortunately, we have been inundated with rain over the past week (every field around is full of water), and although we have some ducks (it's still early here), they are widely spread out. People with holes that perennially produce ducks have them. Other than that is hit and miss. Good luck to you.
