So be it, no more 5:00 am rules bouys! Might as well start them pissin' matches early and get 'em over with just in time for the morning woodie. Hey Po'Monkey, there's three things I can do without: JimAire's frozen gumbo, Tater Red's waders and BRB's deer chili farts. Thank God he got him a mask !

Take me to the boat ramp. It's midnight and I got ducks to kill ! 8)

I vote for starting at 3 am and closing the ramp at 5 am - no more hunters coming in at daylight or shortly after screwing everything up for the hunters that are committed enough to get out there early. Also, no skybustin, as all this does is: 1) proves your an idiot, and 2) scares ducks away, because you ain't gonna kill 'em!!
Also, need to limit the number of boats in the water to a reasonable amount, depending on the size of the WMA, so overcrowding and setting up 50 ft. away from another group will not be as commonplace.

There's no guarantee that a 'limited' number of boats won't ALL be trying to get to the same spot.

I was at the boat ramp when the fight broke out at the scatters landing last year. From what I hear there were two charges filed: assault with a deadly weapon ie. brass knuckles, and alcohol vilation ie. cooler of knight train and thunder bird. I saw the guy jump from the boat and catch Dale above the eye with the brass knuckles. Once he was nailed with pepper spray Dale had no problem getting the cuffs on while he held his gun to his head. If they would have waited thirty minutes more I dont think any thing would have been said. The rest of his crew still made it to the point while Dale was occupied. Have you heard anything else Don Miller.

That altercation described at the boat ramp is troublesome. I hope Dale nails their behinds ----the whole group.

What kind of "hunters" are these folks??? Carrying "knight train and thunderbird" out with them on the hunt? Having "brass knuckles" with them??? And then, the worst, attacking a game warden??? Such behavior cannot be tolerated by the waterfowling community and should be soundly condemned. These "hunters" should be publicy identified, their convictions made public, and through their punishment, they should be made an example.

Anyone have any more information on this group of thugs?? Names? Have they had their day in Court yet? Convicted? Sentenced?

[quote="Homer"] If you leave early, I am still going hunting where I want, so don’t get pissy if I set up 50 ft from yo spread quote)

This is sadly the mindset of too many people who call themselves "waterfowlers".

I think that is the same bunch of thugs that showed up at the landing the year before. One of the guys in the group threatened a lawyer from South Carolina with steel pipe that had a bicycle chain attached to it. That landing can be a dangerous place. The state needs to have full time security there to keep this from happening.

If this fellow that threatens others at duck hunting launch ramps with pipe/chain continues to do so, Darwins theory will soon take care of that situation. No security needed.

How fast could you get to a "magnum" something or another if you were threatened in that fashion. Isn't everyone shuffling around with at least a 12 gauge?

Everyone one was so taken of guard by the whole ordeal, no one reacted. That boat load of thugs beat everyone else to the point hole that morning minus the guy with the pipe and chain. I assume they were using him as a distraction. I thought it was a pretty clever ruse to get the hole they want.

That pole and chain thing is about the most blatent lack of respect for other people that I've ever heard of, and I've seen a lot.

I don't know what kind of punishment would be proper......I don't think our laws can even come up with something fair on that one.

I don't wish nothin bad on nobody, but that guy's gonna get it one day. Like my daddy told me one time "Nomatter how bad you are or how many folks you whip, there's ALWAYS someone out there badder than you." He'll get his one day.

I believe they have used this tactic while hunting Matthews also. One time they jumped the guys in the first boat to the landing. I believe the weapon of choice was a pair of nunchucks and a butterfly knife that time. Once the comotion get crazy they just push off and go get their hole. Its a hell of a note when you have to worry about getting rolled by some thugs at the boat ramp. If you ever see a crew with a part chow, pit bull and chesapeake stay clear. I think they pull their boat with a 79' el camino.

Yep, that is the crew. I am not sure about the pit chow chessie dog but they were driving an old primer grey el camino. The older guy with long hair and beard lives in that shack under the overpass at Phillip. I have been told that he served a long stint at parchman for armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. I just hate this idiot has taken up duck hunting.

If he served a long term at Parchman for those things, and he's duck hunting, he's a felon in posession of a firearm, and subject to an even longer stay.

He doesn't carry a firearm, just a pipe and chain.
