Took Caller1 hunting this morning... Bird gobbled at about 5:30 on the limb.. Called him off several hens. He stepped out for a nice 20 yard shot for Caller1 to bag his first longbeard...

Beastmaster beat me to it, but true enough he put me on my first bird this yesterday. I can understand the " fever " now. Lot of fun, but he made it look to easy.

He was with 2 other longbeards, couldn't get a shot at the strutter.
Laid to rest at 6:35am Saturday morning. I'm off to Texas for my 4 Rio's... Good luck with them birds fella's.

a no gobbling, running at everything nuisance. glad those genes are off my property.

bird # 2 4/9/04 22lbs., 11.25" beard and 1.5" spurs
a good bird for anybody. this thing was a the stud of the woods in his area. could not have been a prouder or more deserving kid. he is making me feel bad about shooting these little birds.
