Yep, you're right. That was the first SEC series game the Rebels have won in 3 years. The last time they won a series game was in 2001. Last year the only game Ole Miss won, out of 5 played with State, was the Mayor's Trophy game, the game that does not mean squat! I think if Bianco stays at Ole Miss, he will put together one heck of a program, considering he learned college baseball from on the best coaches ever (Bertman at LSU).

The Rebels have the best record in the SEC at 24-4 and 7-2. I just hope they can keep this up and don't do like they did 2 years ago, be unbeatable the first two to two and a half months, then can't buy a win after that. In 2002 they won around 37 or 38 games and still did not make it to the SEC or NCAA tourney. I really hope they can keep up this steam!

Just wait!! I believe that UM has a game with Southern Miss at Smith Wills here on 4/27 and one at Oxford the 20th. We will put a few more loses on that record. We are 25/4. Whats up with that!?!?!?!
Looking for 2 duck calls from Dominic Serio of Greenwood (ones for Novacaine)

Yep, USM and UM play on the 27th, but UM and MSU will be playing again on the 13th at Smith-Wills. Ole Miss have a tough set of games coming up this weekend with #11 Auburn. Although Auburn lost 2 out of 3 to #3 LSU at home, they did not get blown out. Auburn won Friday 7-6, then LSU won Saturday and Sunday 5-3 and 3-2. So, this will be a test for Ole Miss this weekend, but the games are being played at Ole Miss/home so I am hoping this helps us out as well.

Check out BaseballAmerica.com and go to the college link. The Rebels made the front page on that one. And about USM, my dad was a catcher there for two years and then asst. coached a year there, so I kinda hope they do well. I just don't think they will get the respect they deserve until the NCAA tourney because they are in the C-USA. But, this is not football! It does not matter where you rank during the season, just as long as you get that bid to the big dance at the end of the season!

No, Eli does not play. Although, if he would have started at a younger age, as tall as he is, he probably could have been one heck of a pitcher!
