Anybody got any reports from Sardis lake today? A friend of a friend told him there
were some new ducks coming into the lake today.

I was told that the lake level was low due to some work being done on the dam or something. I haven't seen it myself. If you are familiar with lake levels and where you can get at particular levels go to the MSDUCKS mainpage and look up Mississippi river stages and at the bottom they have the lakes and their levels listed and they are updated daily. right now the level is 242. As far as ducks I haven't heard anything.

No report on ducks but I am sure that all of the upper end sloughs and holes will have too much water being pushed by the river to hold decoys and too dangerous to wade. We are getting pounded here in North MS with this rain. Radar doesn't make it look like there is any relief tonight.

Appreciate the info, yeah our holes are about
20 miles up the Tallahatchie bottom, this morning (Thur.) we have water 3 or 4 feet deep over the whole bottom and its still raining like a SOB as I write. Did see a few
big ducks flying up the bottom to feed.

Good Luck Sat. morning

for what it is worth , I hunted piney point last weekend, and the only thing I saw was a bunch of ducks. the water was not up to the crypress trees yet but I am sure it will be by this weekend. I might actually hunt there again this weekend, the mudhole has so much water that you can use hwy 51 as a boat ramp. One if the guy's I hunt with went out on wed. and the water was about 3 ft over the access rd and boat ramp. he had to use his four wheeler to launch his boat.

Ain't lookin' too good. It really ain't been no ducks on Sardis since the 60's. I hunt there some every year just to get out to my old stompin' grounds. Cant' hardly hunt there no more anyway because of all the people joy ridin' on them new four wheeled contraptions.
