I don't give a crap about the duck he bought, the issue is whether the "stocked" ducks with their low gene pool will make them more prone to catch, and then spread disease. When condensing any group of animals where they all feed together in close quarters is risky.

The whole thing is rediculous. Stirring the pot with a subject guaranteed to get a reaction for your first post is even more rediculous.

Its about the love of waking up on those 2 a.m. morning when other people are still asleep ,its about walking or driving countless hours/minutes, its about sitting there on the coldest days of the year when other folks are in businesses with/without heat (still warmer). People its not about: How people come all over the country to any state. everybody should be proud of other people coming to there state wanting to duck hunt so i would take that as a compliment if some one came to my stomping grounds because they heard about the great hunting i had i wouldn't shun them away as if i was greedy. I would say thanks so quit being so DANG mean to other people..

I can only look at them from far away with binoculars. only one human is allowed close to feed and then he leaves. the ducks are skittish just like regular wild ducks. i know at least one employee of delta wildlife and at least one game warden are advising and guiding him every step of the way. They both hope this works. I know the locals do to. many of them would love to see happy duck hunters here spending their hard earned money in their hunting stores, restaurants, etc. As to how much feed they eat a day, he told me 500 lbs. but hopes the ducks will partake of some of the free food in the break before long. Also, the wings are not clipped and no other bands or markings will be on them. the ducks will stay very close to the break and not be in any farmers field.

Ok, you mention in an earlier post that they ducks were flying into the 4wheeler and now you say they're skittish like "regular wild ducks". Which is it? And how are they gonna stop them from leaving the break and going to surrounding fields? I agree with the others that are concerned about these ducks polluting the gene pool. It's a proven fact that farm raised mallards will dillute the wild gene pool and make them more susceptible to catching and dying from diseases. Goat rope central!!!

It would be really cool if this guy would stock a few Pekings and Muscovy ducks and band them with reward bands. I've always wanted to shoot a Peking duck with double bands but that hasn't happened yet. Any chance the owner would day lease one of his duck holes and do a benefit hunt for unpriviledged children whose parents are blind quadriplegic hemophiliacs? There is not enough being done in the delta to help these folks.

LOL man stop kidding yourself your just trying to make yourself feel better about something that’s wrong on so many levels!!!

Well I’m not no biologist or nothing but this is the way I see it if you feeding 500 lbs of food to these ducks a day (not to mention he is probably feeding them corn or something with corn which could spoil an a duck could eat it and cause all kinds of problems) whoever this guy is is a complete DA for doing this anyway!!!! I mean thank you also have every predator within 10 miles of that place keyed in like a homeless dog that hasn’t ate in 2 weeks to McDonalds bag in Wal-Mart parking lot then if you got a sick bird out there and something eats his booty then something eats its booty then see where I’m going you kill 10 things or more over one pathetic idea…Your health papers don’t mean chit moving them into a total different environment then what they where in. I mean all he has is farm ducks that it FARM DUCKS!!! And they are farm ducks from Canada NOT MISSISSIPPI farm ducks SO YES YOU ARE PUTTING THEM INTO A WHOLE LOT NEW STUFF THEY ARE NOT IMMUNE TO. You say he has done lost 44….What did he lose them from????? You say the GW and everyone is helping him they should know what happened to them 44 birds if this is the case? MAN THANK MORE THEN JUST KILLING A DUCK!!! DAMN!!!

PLUS THANK GUY YOU GOT 3000 DUCKS THERE WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO LEAVE A WILD DUCK TO EAT WHEN IT COME TIME FOR THEM TO COME INTO TOWN????? YOU GOT 3000 DUCKS EATING!!!! SO NOT CHIT BUDDY!!!!!!!!!!

Well hold up I’m not done yet let me make this point to while I’m at it to. You ever hunted quail before? Have you ever hunted a wild bird then hunted a tame bird? That right there will tell you straight up what you getting into the tame are not going to act nothing like the wild ones and they going to be a whole lot dumber. Not only that thank man you can throw out 500 quail that’s been in a flight pin and maybe out of them 500 maybe 15-20 will make it one yr. So thank about all that time and money you have wasted on this Idea that you could have spent on something far more effective then this stupid ass Idea.

Man point blank all your friend has done is make sure he could shoot a limit of tame ducks everyday.
