Yea, and it was also brought up that I "may" have to pay to have them moved. Pay hell......I'll just keep dropping trees on the "illegitimate child" until they fockin' move it........ Went thru the same shat with the gas company over a gas line. Basically told them, you move it, or I'm going thru it........fockin' thing was only a foot in the ground and I couldn't slope a driveway properly without hitting it.

One last thing. The Public Service Commissioners office hates Entergy. I have used them before, and will again if I have to. Anyway, someone is suppose to call me tomorrow.......we shall see.

Delta Power gave us a staggering quote for moving a power line off a corner of a bean field once. Like, the cost of a new car. We said "screw it." Ducks did not seem to mind. Dropping a tree on it would have been a lot cheaper than what we were quoted.
So many ducks, so little time....

Some dumba$$ ran into the one in my front yard and broke it, but it didnt come all the way down. Entergy put a temporary one up and "tied" literally one to the other one. Now I have two poles side by side in my front yard, and the new one is dang near touching my driveway. I've called a few times, and this week I'm calling with the chainsaw running.

Met with my dirt man today.......we on!! May get started this week, at the latest first of the week. We are going to stack all the straight trees for pulp, so if anybody want them.....come get them. We will load.

If weather is good, he's thinking he can do the job in a week...........

Oh, we ain't waiting for the power lines to be moved either...........they have been warned.

Thanks.......I'll probably have a few folks out to take a look after we get the trees down and start moving dirt. It's much easier to make suggestions if you actually see the layout.

My entergy pow wow is at 11:30 this am. I'll be sure and bend over....... :) I guess when I told them I was fixin' to start dropping trees, they decided it was important to come on out asap. lol......

I'm a little concerned about my pond depth. I would like to keep it at 8', but dirt man is thinking 5-6'.........cost is an issue. The longer he moves dirt, they more money it will cost me.

if you've got a spring head or some such, 5-6 would get it.....if not, and considering the heat we're dealing w/ (i.e. evaporation and little rain fall), i'd shoot for 8.......if the pocket book can handle it. but, 5-6 is better than nothing to nothing.

Your going to have to have a well. Save the money you will spend on the extra dirt moving and invest in a well. Put a couple of deep spots in for the fish to get out of the heat. For a tech pond to be effective as you know, you got to keep the water level as clsoe to ground level as possible in order to keep the dog in sight. My pond isnt anything special but I fought water levels for a couple of years before the pond sealed even with a well and pumping water out of a creek. One thing I didnt do was once the dirt work is done, you got to keep the banks compacted and damp. Once the air gets to it for a few days without water to keep it compacted, your screwed. I seeded the whole thing with winter wheat. Mine was dug in July and didnt start filling up till Sept. We had a couple of really good dove shoots that year! You have to keep it moist and compact till you get some serious water in it to seal it.
