We have a riser with a pipe through one levee that drains into a ditch - and the draining water is washing out another levee directly behind the pipe.
Has anyone ever installed a diverter of some sort on the pipe to force the water down/left/right so it won't was out the other levee, and if so, what works?
Someone told me we could weld a couple bars holding a disk a foot or so behind the pipe.
Thanks

Re: Drain pipe diverter
Weld a plate over the outlet, then cut a hole out on the downstream side.

Re: Drain pipe diverter
might could build a concrete form on the other levee or around the end of the drain pipeor where the water falls. i know we have had problems with the drain pipes washing out in out fields and another guy was telling me to concrete the backside of the pipe because the water shakes the pipe on the end and washes it out.
Re: Drain pipe diverter
I have seen these installed on pipes that came out into the road ditch to keep from washing the road away.
It is basically to bars that come out and hold another piece perpendicular to the pipe. Sort of a "T" if you will, like the disc blade thing you described.
