[quote="4dawgma"]midol, ha how bout a fucitall. Blackhawk, as i said in in the beginning, I don't have anything against a man tryin' to make a dollar. hold up there willis how did i get drug into this ?????????????????? I am going on 3 years of being out of the fire service. We have been in the landscape racket for 10 years this summer. I agree with you thow about folks getting in to this line of work and undercutting the people that do it for a living. 15 bucks on a 30 dollar yard is freaking crazy. There is no way you can pay your gas, workers comp, gerneral lib, auto insurance, maintenacne and everythign else that goes along with what we do and expect to make any money. As you go along and pick up more yards your 200 dollar push mower is not going to hold up and your 99 dollar trimmer will not run because it is not made to be used like you are using it you are not going to be able to afford the equipmnet you need because you have been low balling

with that said blackhawk whatever i can do to help you get started please let me know t

Blackhawk,
There are some that want to cut there own yards because they take pride in what it looks like when it is done. I myself cut my own yard.

You will get yards because you will be the on cutting them. People like to see the people they are paying doing the work. Not a crew they sent out. I have my own business not cutting yards but surveying. I get jobs because I do the work and not send someone. Quality is what gets repeat business.

I'm one of those who prides in a good looking lawn and cut it myself. My parents and I share the same piece of property so we cut each other's "yard". I cringe when my dad cuts the yard and I'm probably one of the few kids who fights their parents to want to cut the grass.

My dad bought a riding mower and that fella looks like he's trying to cut doughnuts when he's mowing. Im not sure whats going through his head. He always wonders why i ask him not to cut the grass when I'm coming home to visit. I just don't have the heart to tell him!!

One of my favorite jobs growing up was working for a professional lawn service. learned a lot in that job. still use methods learn then on my current yard..

Blackhawk, PM me, I'll give you all the info you need, I'm a real estate agent and started one to supplement my income when the market was really in the crapper. Once you get going and get the bugs worked out you'll have all the lawns you want. Too many, and I'm in Baton Rouge where lawn care guys are EVERYWHERE. Great business, I do well with it.

How dare you. If you didnt go to MS State, and get a landscsape architect degree, then you have no business even picking up a leaf in someone else's yard. Dam you for trying to make an honest buck....you must do it just to drive the "pros" profit down. :D
