What chapter in Revelations does it specifically say there will be 7 years of peace in the middle east? and where does give the number of the beast?

Also where can I find references to Petra?

Never read of seven yrs. peace in the Middle East. The scripture about the number of the beast is in Rev. 13, verses 17 and 18 specifically.......Sela or Petra ,the rock hewn capital of Edom is referred to in : Ps. 60:9; 2Ki. 14:7; Isa. 16:1; Judg. 1:3; Isa. 42:11; Jer. 48:21; 49:16; Oba. 3. It is sometimes referred to as the rock. Also called Bozrah( Isa.34:5-6; 63:1-5; Jer. 48:24; 49:13, 22; and Amos 1:12. Sometimes referred to as Bozrah the rock..... hope this helps, uncle C

The 7 years you speak of may be a reflection of Daniel's 70th week. Generally, Daniel's 70 weeks are thought to be characterized by each day representing a year. In the last "week" (or seven years) the Antichrist will make a covenant with Israel, yet he will destroy the temple in the midst of that 7 years as well.

With a covenant being made with Israel, I would expect that would be percieved as peace in the middle east. I have not heard that, but I can see how that may have been taught. Though, I am not sure of the exegesis.

Daniel 9:24-27 `Seventy weeks are determined for thy people, and for thy holy city, to shut up the transgression, and to seal up sins, and to cover iniquity, and to bring in righteousness age-during, and to seal up vision and prophet, and to anoint the holy of holies. And thou dost know, and dost consider wisely, from the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem till Messiah the Leader is seven weeks, and sixty and two weeks: the broad place hath been built again, and the rampart, even in the distress of the times. And after the sixty and two weeks, cut off is Messiah, and the city and the holy place are not his, the Leader who hath come doth destroy the people; and its end is with a flood, and till the end is war, determined are desolations. And he hath strengthened a covenant with many--one week, and in the midst of the week he causeth sacrifice and present to cease, and by the wing of abominations he is making desolate, even till the consummation, and that which is determined is poured on the desolate one.'

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Lastly, I would ask if you are asking after Petra the Greek word for rock, or if you are asking after a place.
