State won't visit Omaha anytime soon, much less win a NC in 5 years with Cohen.
Just cold hard facts of the matter.

.....GH22 and Bigwater......I used to think you guys knew a little bit about what you were talking about
......trust me on this one, Cohen is breaking it down and building it back up......there is some serious young talent on this years team, and the recruiting class coming in will just add to that. The difference in this year.....I won't say it on the internet because it would just stir the pot......but let me know when you would like to discuss over a beer......the Bulldogs are very close.....look deep into the situation guys.

There is some young talent on this team...how serious they are has yet to be seen. Im looking as deep into the situation as I possibly can....please shed some light

With that said, I really like Cohen. I like his mentality when it comes to coaching and his eagerness to bring this program back to what it once was. He will meet the challenge head on...I hope for our sake he comes out on top!

The majority of the team cannot stand Cohen, and that's a fact. Even after these seniors are gone, there's still a bunch left that feel the same way. Some of the true frosh's have been turned against him. Some of them even think that blowing this season, which has happened, will get Cohen fired. A lot of msu fans don't realize the real Cohen..........he hasn't changed since he played here.

Virginia whipped our asses in oxford two games in a row last year with "young players".... those same young players are now one of the best teams in the nation...

That just shows your ignorance...you can't believe everything you hear. I'm not saying that some or most of the players don't like Cohen, but to say that they are blowing the season to get him booted is asinine!

Re: Ron throws a hissy fit......
It's not all about hearing. I've seen my fair share of it this season. But at the same time I've yet to prove the people wrong that give me inside info on the team.........EVER. These kids were just rolling with the flow this season, just wanting it to be over. An MSU team winning 5 sec games in a season is unacceptable, which will happen after we get swept by a STRUGGLING LSU team this weekend. I don't see us coming out of this funk for awhile. "We're young" doesn't fly anymore in college baseball. I've been watching baseball for over 20 yrs at Dudy Noble, and I have never seen the talent level this weak. It also helps with your coach states in the media that you aren't sec caliber talent......makes you feel real warm and fuzzy inside doesn't it?
I look for Nick Routt to transfer and several others. Nick was supposed to be shutdown for the season back in March, but Cohen kept pushing him to pitch......which was the direct opposite of what Cohen told his parents. He called Nick out in the media too. Just another Forrest Moore situation. Cohen making promises and not keeping them is what has this team separated in the clubhouse.
Gene and Steve can post goody goody stuff about this baseball team all they want........it doesn't fly.

A lot of the kids on the team ARE NOT SEC caliber players...fact! These young men can handle what Cohen says about them in the media, and if they cant I'd tell 'em to grow up or get outta here. We dont need a buncha little puddy babies that get their feelings hurt when the coach says they cant close a ballgame out or cant execute plays. Cohen is just being honest!
The Nick Routt situation is fuzzy...as a coach you want to know if a player is either hurt or injured...in Nick's case, he was hurt, but that wasnt really discovered until after the situation you described earlier. We need him back!
As far as players wanting the season to be over...Hell, I know I'd want the season to be over too...everybody does, coaches, players, fans, you name it! This season has been an embarrasment, to say the least! I hate it for the seniors, but as ole Ron would say...."Hey, that's baseball"

I'll take some of that bet and really hope I lose! I don't see it happening1 Don't see Cohen even being there in 5 years either!

Do you REALLY think that athletes at that level will "throw" a game on purpose?
Re: Ron throws a hissy fit......
Stitch I don't believe that, but I some of our fielding blunders could make a fella wonder.

I haven't had a chance to research it, but someone told me the other day that our fielding percentage this year was actually higher than the great 1985 team.....
Re: Ron throws a hissy fit......
That would be really suprising if it were, but it still would not tell the whole story. Would have to check ERA of both years pitching and AB vs MSU pitching as well as sheer opportunities a fielder had to make a play. 85 team may have had a low fielding percentage, but I would have to believe it was made up with good pitching and a lot of offense.
