Is it true that you're not supposed to use it on spincast reels, such as a zebco 33 & why?

The reason why is that your supposed to throw the braided line in the garbage.

I sure it will work. The real may not last as long as it will with mono.Braid line will probally eat thru the line pick in time just because its more abrasive and the 33's are not the most durable reels ...if the reel has metal pick ups it will be fine.....not sure but i think the old 33's had metal pick ups but i think the new ones are plastic or ceramic.....i would go with 20lb PP if ya gona try it

Because the line costs as much as a zebco reel. If you are going to spend $20+ on a spool of line, you might as well buy a decent reel.

True to an extent!
I have noticed that it does retain water. Especially when the braid starts to wear, as they all do...
However, I haven't had a problem with it.
You might try Stren Superbraid. I also use it and haven't had any problems...
