Jason and Betty,

I am sorry for your loss. I know Dash was a big part of yalls family.

If it is of any comfort, I had to make the same decision for the same reasons about 2 years ago with Annabelle, a Boxer that me and Kelli had bought when we were dating. After 11 yrs, she had the same symptoms and I ended up at the same decision as you. For the longest time I regretted it but then I had to witness a friend of mine who had one of Annabells puppies. When she got to the same stage she decided to keep her comfortable at home. For almost 4 months, she suffered and finally passed in her sleep.

After witnessing this I felt comfort in knowing I had made the right decision. I feel we owe it to them to not make them suffer. I am sure Dash is greatful.

RIP Dash, your in great company

THoughts and prayers to you and your family. You made a decision that all dog owners hope they never have to. You know your dog better than anyone and to know when the time has come and do it takes a lot of strength. He is with God now.

Sorry to hear it. I had to make the same decision last fall with my old girl and its really really tough. I'll tell you now you made the right decision for Dash. I had one a few years back that I didn't put down and thats the decision I regret to this day. We kept him with us a little longer but it wasn't best for him as we couldn't make the decision to let him go.

Sorry for your loss,

Bill

Sorry for the loss of your old friend and companion. I had to make the same decision 3 days after Christmas this past yr.

I'm just now reading this. I hate to read it and hated to hear it from you the other day. I've thought about ol Dash a good bit since you told me. I'm glad that I was fortunate enough to know him.
I'm petting Major right now and can't imagine having to make that decision about him.
We're thinking about ya'll
