I am expecting a covey every 40 acres almost immediately so I now need a friend with a bird dog.
Any takers?

It makes great overhead cover for chicks and their mommas when they're little so they can get lots of grasshoppers and other bugs while being safe from predators. Plow it under in the fall (late October) if you want to so the birds will stay out of it during hunting season and then plow it again at the end of March - end of April to make the ragweed come back. It gets dusty late in the summer when the ragweed is seeding out or whenever it gets dry so if you're allergic to the stuff you might have a tough time with it. And yes, I know it sounds crazy to plant ragweed, but it works.
