Tax increase

Postby caneycreekducker » Fri Feb 20, 2004 4:24 pm

What do you think about it?

I know we are in a budget crisis here in missisip. But I really feel spending cuts are the way to get the problem back in control.

Chime in.

I'm kind of cold hearted, cut the hell out of all those govt programs that help the people that want help themselfs.

Then cut the taxes more!

I agree, they need to quit spending so much. I hear day in and day out about how much waste is taking place in MDOT (roommate and 4 other friends work there). It makes me sick. People that come to work just to read the news paper, people drawing out projects just so they have less to do, no one is expected to accomplish anything in any kind of a timely manner. It is disgusting.

Instead of taking 45% of what I make, why not take 90% ??

According to the dems, that is supposed to make me feel better. If I pay more into the 'system'. Pay more of my fair share.

puke.
Sometimes you just have to close your eyes, count to ten, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you wouldn't look good in prison stripes... and just smile at that dumbass and walk away.

I'm there with you MSB.

What makes me mad is all of this talk about "retiring the deficit."

Do we REALLY want it zero? It'll never be zeroed totally or else no govt. bonds would be outstanding. It's a crock of you know what.

The other thing the Dems are making me mad over is the capital gains tax. They say it only helps the wealthy????

Are these guys that big of idiots or are their voters?
