Looks like your decoy caught the worst of it. At least you caught the perpetrator.

That's awesome man. I have to admit, I started the year with stick and string, but the turkey I am after will not fall to an arrow. I'm afraid it will take an air strike.

Bad to the absolute bone. Turkey hunting as an art form.

Mature gobbler taken with a recurve. As good as it gets. I hope to do that some day. Many congrats!

Swamp, It does't get any better than that!!! Congratulations!!!! ---- Just got back from Jackson keeping the grandson for 2 days and it wore me out more than any turkey hunt. I was planning on finishing up your call but it is still in Tunica with mine. There's three friends at the Roost and I told them to take them to woods, and put some of that Tunica Mojo on them. They have hunted for 2 days and killed one 2 yr. old. The old birds are working on them and stop gobbling about 7:30. Best yet to come up there. Hope you fair well on the river. Keep us posted. Great Pictures.

St. John, you better catch up on grand dad honey dues because river is getting hot or hotter. I had an almosty yesterday.........short story version.....11:00 ..we called him up to 10 steps to my right side. He was coming till he saw the Jake( which was around the corner from hen decoys) and turned and putted and started to walk away..I Kee Keed which signaled my brother in law to unleash the air attack.....poor 3-4 year old could not out run a load of 3" at 27 yards..........This was Text book old gobbler..walking around mid morning by himself gobbling for hens..we called very softly and consistently till he broke down and came to us................almost got to meet Hambone too...fine piece of dirt i was a guest on..

Swamp...looks like you were aiming for the thighs. Is that you're preferred shot placement with archery gear?
