Life's too damned complicated to make it too damned complicated
Re: Costas
Fathom with copper 580 lenses here
love them and wouldn't trade them for anything. They are a smaller frame pair, but they fit me much better than the other models I've tried on.

Re: Costas
whatever you decide, make sure you spend the extra money and get the 580 lense. Well worth it in my opinion. Also costa has had a few bad batches of the 400 lenses which has been causing the lenses to be distorted and discolored when they get sweat in them. also on a side note, never clean them with windex or anything that contains ammonia. dont ask me how i know.

Re: Costas
Yeah I've sent back a few pair of glasses with the 400 lenses because the sweat makes the lenses look like the polarization is coming off of the lense. I have asked them everytime if I could pay to upgrade to the 580's and they keep telling me they are "working" on that being an option.jtdumallard wrote:whatever you decide, make sure you spend the extra money and get the 580 lense. Re: Costas
If you have specific questions fire away. There is no comparision between the 580 lens and anything else out on the market, much less the 400 lens. I study/test them every year and make sure they are still the best for my patients and Costa is still the best.

thats the same ones i have and love em
Re: Costas
Just got some green 580s. You can see stuff in the river that you never would have known was there
Re: Costas
I was really torn over what color lens to get. Jeff helped me and I'm very pleased with the copper. I find I wear my glasses even on cloudy days as the copper helps bring things out. When it's bright and sunny, the amber still offers enough darkness to cut out the brightness.
I haven't tried the blue or the grey, but I'm pleased with the copper.

Re: Costas
blue 580. I have had some 400 which are nice but the 580 is the best without a doubt. mine are very tough and I have had great luck with them. I have the harpoon 580 had some wavekiller 400 which i dropped and shattered. Costa sent me a new pair after I returned them for about half price. their customer service is second to none. My wife wears the 580 too and she loves them.

Re: Costas
green 580's. in the brochure it will go over which colors work best depending on where your using them. bottom line is 580's are the ones you need to look into. don't buy a pair without trying them on outside first.
580's green mirror with the brine frames are the ones i use.
