They used to hold a gar rodeo on Eagle Lake back in the 50's. Some of the gar that won used to go close to 300 lbs. or better.

I guess I will use a ball peen hammer next time, the baseball bat doesn't work very well! This WAS a brand new t-ball bat before it hit the 7 foot gator gar I shot

Man i did not realize there were any that big in concordia, can't tell you how many times i have been swimming in that lake. May think twice about that now.
