With all the outlaws in Grenada, I imagine there were more killed- just out of season or illegaly. That's probably why there wasn't more reported :x :x

Hey bigfarter I hope someone counts yours in humphreys co. for this decade. Hell of a research job BW. I personally am stunned by the low number of birds from issaquena on the river.

It's because all that land has been converted to WRP, with no suitable duck habitat. :?:

can anyone explain the large diff in tallahatchie co as compared to the #3 and #4 and so on ??? what is your theory on that one Benny? why does tally out perform all these other counties...i would of figured higher numbers from bolivar, washington, coahoma counties...

I've been luking at this here bored over the las few months and this post here from bigwatr sparked my intrest because I have myself been on three hunts in perry county wier banded birds wer killt and I did myself shoot one of those six bands with my padners taken three more out of the same hold so does he mean to tell me the hole i hunt for the past thirty year has taken four out of the six bands for the county. This place is right on the leaf river and with the right amount of corn will get covered up with ducks hell i saw bout sixty ducks in ther one morning but they left so we went back ther that evening an sho nuff they came back and WE WAXED DAT AZZZZZZZZ! Fourteen of us kilt all sixty when they came back but it wuz damn neer midnight when we finly found all them birds and the ol lady was fightin mad when i give her them birds and told her to have some ready for breakfast by next morning but she had some of the best duck grits I's ever eatin ready for me when i got up that day. I love duck huntin!

Get down Easy E some shots may be fired back in your direction on this board talking like that. I can imagine hunting ducks in your part of the world can be hard, and i congradulate you for reporting those bands and on taking them. but please don't use the words corned up, or right amount of corn, or hunting over chops, or anything that can be misconstrued or suggests you are baiting a hole and hunting over it. that could get you in some trouble with the law. One more thing, could you get us the recipe for those duck grits? That sounds enticing.

big water asked as will I what do you mean by this? NO suitable hunting in a county bordered by the Big River that is in some way (great or small) envolved in the Wetlands Restoration Project (WRP)?
