More prayers needed.......Matt's dog Gator is pretty sick.

Matt took gator to the vet today after he coughed up blood yesterday after we trained. Found out today from the vet he may have Blastomycosis. It's a basically a fungal disease that starts in the lungs. They sent xrays and blood work up to Ms.St. Vet center for further review. From what I've read, it's a dire situation. So, if you have time, add another dog to your prayer list. Thanks.

Knew a dog that went through blasto. Incidents with blasto usually occur during the warmer months, and became really prevelant after Katrina from all the uprooted trees. She was on kennel rest for months, lost part of her vision in one eye, but made it through.

Our prayers are with gator and matt.

I've spoken to Matt and they're trying to make a definitive diagnosis. They don't know if it's respitory pneumonia or blasto.

A couple of good things, it's not the time of year for blasto and Gator was still eating....

Still.....I'd have that itraconozole in hand. :?

they got em. my prayer list for dogs is gettin as long as my list for folks. hope they all get better soon. (gator, coda, and reagan). do they think it may have anything to do with the stick gator got in the leg? spread of infection or sepsis?
