Introduction and HELLO

Postby injun_23 » Tue Jun 19, 2001 3:44 pm

Hi guys. Just wanted to say hello cause I already "know" most of you through this forum(MSDUCKS.COM). I havnt been very active in the past but would like to be in the future. I come over from N C one week each year and hunt public...pretty tough stuff, but will probably modify that some this year with guided days mixed in. I am convinced that most on this forum are pretty classy people and good duck hunters. Micah has done a good job with the old forum and has some very good moderators now. GC you make me laugh and the Judge.....well hes just a gentle man with a good heart ...like to meet you some day Judge , preferably out of court. Iv met some nice people in Miss and just wish that the ducks were better spread out so that we all have the same opportunity with out the crowding and problems that it has caused in the great DELTA. Thanks for allowing another out of stater to join in and good luck to all this year.

Injun, What part of NC are you from. I was born in Boone and lived in Winston Salem until I was 11. I make over there at least two or three time a year. Good luck on your trip over to MS. baldduck

Hey baldduck, injun-23 thought I was the only one down here from the Old North State. Born & raised outside of Ashville, I love it down here next to the Big River, but I sure do miss those mountains sometimes.

Injun, Thanks for the invite. Hows the duck hunting over in NC? Your a ways from the coast. Yall get any migrating ducks on the lakes and rivers over there. I know in GA(North/Central) on big lakes and rivers most are resident ducks. Just curious?

What's yall season dates? I don't know if anybody told you but they raised the price on MS stamps FYI.

Baldduck ,the duck hunting here is only fair, not really close to any major flyway. The coastal hunting is O K but lots of pressure on public places which are few.We have 3 seasons: 4 days in Oct for woodies,2 weeks or so around Thanksgiving and the reg season early Dec. thru jan. 20. Limits are rare here, especially mallards, unless the weather is really cold for a few days. The timber hunting I had in Miss was great the first year and hooked me on it. You are very fortunate to be in the heart of the Miss flyway Baldduck and cmtomp2. I hear and read all the bickering about out of staters and I realize that it really is hard to share with those that dont appreciate THE GREAT SPORT and cause hard feelings for lots of other duck hunters that do respect the rights of others. I hope this is a banner year for the Miss flyway and I hope I can enjoy a small part of it with you guys. N C is a great place to live.... just NO DUCKS!
